Project management is not an implementation of a fixed process or a static procedure. It requires application of knowledge, skills, tools and technical methods, as well as the application of project management processes and their integration to meet project requirements. The project manager must be responsive to the work and the environment surrounding the project and control the expectations of project stakeholders and achieve a balance in achieving their conflicting and divergent objectives.
The uniqueness of each project with the beginning and end and the unique results makes the management of the project a distinctive craft does not accept copying and pasting from one project to another. Most of the failed projects or even those that did not achieve the required goals within the permissible area of the results was caused by the assignment of a person to manage it has not yet mastered the profession of project management, often could not control the parties affected and affected by the project.
The professionalization of the project management profession is not only about passing the examinations prepared for this knowledge of the ten fields of knowledge and the five groups of operations of the project management and integration. It is a profession related to the leading administrative personality, culture, customs, traditions, knowledge, technical skills, life, way of thinking, logic, and dealing with the person entrusted with managing the project.
Practical experience has also confirmed that the time experience in managing projects with results that do not fall within the areas allowed, as in most projects, does not necessarily mean that the project manager has taken the profession. The project management profession has to deal with many different situations in managing it in a way that achieves satisfactory results for all parties and individuals related to this project using appropriate management tools and previous successful practical lessons as well as an administrative personality.
In light of the above, we conclude that it is not necessary to determine the results of the project if you are a professional project management. In many projects, the reasons for their failure were factors beyond the scope of the project manager’s tasks. On the management of a project and it is not certain to obtain satisfactory results from a project managed by someone who managed previous projects with unsatisfactory results; however it is certain that being a craft owner takes right decision in a timely manner to the satisfaction of all interested parties of this decision.
